John Buffalo Mailer, Creative Director

John Buffalo Mailer is an award winning screenwriter, journalist, playwright, actor, and producer. In October of 2000 he founded Back House Productions in New York City with three other Wesleyan graduates. Back House became the 1st resident theater company of The Drama Bookshop’s Arthur Seelan Theater in 2001, where they developed several plays including the 2008 TONY Award Winner for Best Musical, In The Heights by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

He has been published in three books of collected essays, has published two plays, has had four feature screenplays produced, and has been an editor for four national magazines.

The New York Premiere of John’s first play, Hello Herman, was Directed by Thomas Kail in 2002, and was published by Dramatists Play Services in the Spring of 2010 after the LA premiere. Smith and Krauss included an excerpt from Hello Herman in their Best Monologues of 2011 publication, and the feature film starring Norman Reedus was released in 2012, earning the screenplay the Social Relevance Award at the 2012 Monaco International Film Festival.

As an actor, he cut his teeth at The Actors Studio at the age of twelve and went on to perform in a dozen plays in New York City throughout the 2000‘s. As a screen actor, Buffalo has appeared opposite Shia LaBeouf in Oliver Stone’s Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Paul Giamatti and Ellen Burstyn in Matthew Barney’s River Of Fundament, Tony Sirico in Friends And Romans, Alec Baldwin, Demi Moore, and Dylan McDermott in Blind (which he also wrote), Sienna Miller in Private Life Of A Modern Woman, and can be seen in the upcoming features set for release in 2019, The Second Sun, American Terrorist, and DieRy (the second two of which he also wrote and produced).

Martin Tuchman is an entrepreneur, inventor and philanthropist. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Tuchman Group, a firm with holdings in real estate, banking and international shipping, Martin is a trail blazer in both the shipping and banking industries. Now he has partnered with Writer/Producer/Actor John Buffalo Mailer to launch their new media company because of what he felt was a lack of entertainment in the current culture that has the power to spark intergenerational conversations.

Martin is an active supporter of research to cure Parkinson’s Disease, is on the Boards of the American Cancer Society, and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.

Jennifer Gelfer is a NY based Director, Producer, and Actor. Always in search of perfecting her Art, she began her studies in NY at the AADA, moving on to LAMDA in London, and finally landing in LA to work with Milton Katselas, of The Beverly Hills Playhouse.

She has taught and coached some of the worlds brightest stars. Jennifer has worked in every aspect of the business. Beginning as an actor, then moving into Directing and Producing.

Her first foray into directing film began with the Webseries, In Between Men. It was both critically acclaimed and watched by millions of viewers.

After having Executive Produced, Showing Roots starring, Uzo Aduba, Elizabeth McGovern and the great Cicely Tyson she stepped into the role of lead producer on several feature films, Blind, starring Alec Baldwin and Demi Moore and Private Life of a Modern Woman starring Sienna Miller, wherein she earned the honor of the coveted P.G.A title.
